SeaWorld Orlando’s Bands, Brew & BBQ kicked off last weekend with great food, lots of entertainment and an amazing concert featuring Jerrod Niemann and Chris Young. The event area opens at 11:30am and concerts begin at 4pm, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy the brew and BBQ before the bands.

For bike fans Harley has its 2013 bikes on display and while the event is going on if you ride your Harley to SeaWorld your parking is free. After enjoying the new bikes make sure you head over to the side stage to do some line dancing. If you do not know how, do not worry, there is a DJ and professional dancers to teach you the steps. At times Shamu, Dolly the Dolphin and Pete and Penny Penguin join in to show off their moves and take pictures with their fans. Even if you do not dance standing and watching is just as fun, especially when the characters are out there!

Had enough of the dancing and need a cold drink and some food? There are plenty of both. For all the beer lovers SeaWorld is featuring over 25 different beers. Can’t decide which to taste? To solve that SeaWorld is offering a Craft Brew Sampler package for $21. There are also plenty of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from and even a kid’s specialty drink station that serves Shirley Temples and a non-alcoholic mojitos.

There are plenty of food choices. Restaurants such as Sonny’s BBQ, Tony Roma’s and Cecil’s Texas Style BBQ are on hand as well as SeaWorld’s own BBQ. SeaWorld’s Famous BBQ Spare Rib Platter is a must. The portion is very generous for the price. The meat falls off the bone and is definitely finger licking good!

When you are so full you just cannot walk around anymore go get your seat in Bayside Stadium for the concert of the day. Seating is available in lower and upper sections for free, but if you want to be up-close and personal with your favorite band I would suggest purchasing the VIP package. This package includes reserved seating and a meal voucher for an entrée, side item and non-alcoholic beverage for $39. With acts like Styx, Big & Rich, Third Eye Blind, Darius Rucker and Sheryl Crow you won’t want to miss a weekend! Going on now thru March 17th.
