The fun continues at Universal Orlando as Mardi Gras imports a supergroup from across the pond. This Saturday night, English-Irish pop sensation The Wanted, best known for their Billboard chart-topping hits “Glad You Came” and “Chasing The Sun,” will take the stage. Before the concert, there will be a chance to catch some beads during the festive Mardi Gras parade. Don’t mis the new floats celebrating Jules Verne’s novel, “Around the World in 80 Days.” Guests can also visit Universal Studios Florida’s very own French Quarter Courtyard to enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine (hello beignets!) and see performances by bands pulled straight from Bourbon Street.
The “N’awlins”-inspired, family-friendly version of Mardi Gras runs select nights through June 7 (now that Robin Thicke rescheduled). Here’s the remaining talent lineup:
May 10 The Wanted
May 17 The Roots
May 24 Cher Lloyd
May 31 Huey Lewis and the News
June 7 Robin Thicke
Sign me up for “The Roots” and “Huey Lewis and the News” as well.
